News and Reminders
Reading - continuous reading at home is very important. Most children will not have an individual reading record, but will instead read a whole class text. Chapters or sections will be set for homework twice a week.
If the text is too challenging for your child to read independently, then please could you read this text at home together. Each child will have a numbered copy of the text for which they are responsible.
.It is essential that the children remember to bring these class books in for follow-up work as we will be using them during our English lesson too.
Children can access Lexia at home (see link above). Login details have been provided in the homework book.
Maths: Children have also received a login for Times Table Rockstars - an online resource to encourage pupils to be come fluent with their times tables (vitally important!). See link above.
Children need to know their times tables for a government issued assessment that will be administered in June 2020. It is essential that they use Times Table Rock Stars and also complete homework sheets in order that they are able to recall their tables fluently.

Spelling frame: An important aspect of English is spelling. We have signed up for Spelling frame (a website that looks into specific spelling rules). Your teacher will set you a spelling rule for you to practise. See the link below.
