Nature of support

Teacher and Teaching Assistant support to deliver small group work and ‘rapid response’ sessions.

Types of intervention: Socially Speaking/ Read Write Inc. Fresh Start and Phonics/ Numicon.

Resources: The Butterfly House (nurture group provision); ICT; library books; school counsellor service; computer club (before-school access to

ICT equipment).

Financial support for school trips including residentials, uniforms, PE kit.

28 pupils (out of 73) in this year group were in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant (shown as ‘PP’ above).

The outcomes for this cohort of pupils in receipt of the Grant compare favourably with national average figures for all pupils in reading, writing and maths. They exceed in maths at the expected standard by a considerable margin. The most significant gap is in grammar, punctuation & spelling at the expected and higher standard. The performance of pupils in receipt of the grant at the higher standard in writing and maths compares favourably with that of all pupils nationally. Progress of pupils in receipt of the grant is strong.
